Email service outages, Nov 5th & 6thThe University email system has been experiencing intermittent service outages and delivery slow downs overnight. These issues typically present themselves as an error that occurs upon login. The error indicates that the user's quota could not be found. The inbox appears to be empty. Users who access their email via an email client, such as Outlook or Eudora, may find that they weren't receiving messages. Users may also find that emails are delivered more slowly than they should be. The first outage was discovered at approximately 8:30PM on Nov. 5th. UITS had corrected that issue and email was being delivered again by 8:50PM. The issue was discovered to have reoccurred at approximately 3:30AM on Nov. 6th. UITS began working on the issue immediately. At this time, email appears to be accessible again. Emails sent during the outage should now be in the process of being delivered. However, if you are still experiencing problems with accessing your inbox or have any other questions, please call the 24/7 IT Support Center at 626-TECH.
